Treasure Chest Fund, Inc

The Treasure Chest Fund is a non-profit charity dedicated to relieving the stress of children who are going through or have gone through treatment for life-threatening illnesses.

We purchase or receive new toys and put them in a "treasure chest". The children who come in for a doctor's visit have the opportunity to select something from the "treasure chest". There are also some children who are too sick to go home. They have to stay at the hospital. It is nice to be able to provide them with a buddy, a book or a game.Look at that smile!

The smile that comes to a child's face is great to see. This helps to make going to the hospital a little better experience. We experienced this first hand when our son was going through treatment for Hodgkin's disease. He actually has good memories of his treatment. Part of the reason for this, is that he was able to select a toy from the treasure chest during treatments. It always brought a smile to his face. That positive attitude went a long way in his treatment.

Unfortunately, the treasure chest has been empty or poorly stocked. We want to help fill it. There are many children treated each day at the clinic and there are even more who are admitted to the hospital and cannot go home. These children  need a smile!
